The 5th Robot Food Manipulation Challenge (ICRA Don Challenge) was held on April 24, 2024.

Overview

Robot serving salmon roe bowl (ICRA don)
  • Fabricating robot hand that can stably grasp salmon roe
  • Driving robot hand using robot arm (UR) IO
  • Place the salmon roe on the tray moving on the conveyor
  • Using a distance sensor to detect when to place salmon roe
  • Control the robot arm (UR) motion through its IO by distance sensor information
  • Lectures: 3D printer, silicone molding, UR robot motion, UR robot IO
  • We use Shimizu Gel Jelly Beads instead of salmon roe
